The attempt on NaBloPoMo 2 [Day 01]

I started this blog as a birthday present to myself and published my first post on November 1, 2014. To get Manga, my life. off to a running start, I threw myself to the flames with the challenge of my first attempt at NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month).

If you’re not familiar with it, NaBloPoMo is the blogging counterpart of the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It’s a month-long writing exercise where bloggers are challenged to publish a post every day of the month. There aren’t restrictions — your post can be as short or as long as you want on any topic and it’s entirely unenforceable — no one’s going hunt you down for not finishing or forgetting to post.

I can’t believe I’m doing this again, but I am, and there’s no going back.

I hope I don’t regret it.

Looking back on the posts I’ve written always feels so surreal. Most of the time, I’m not sure how I wrote like that in the first place. I don’t have much confidence in my writing and I’m not sure I ever will, but the first dream I mentioned in my Infinity Dreams Award Post, was to “Write better, faster, and post more regularly on this blog”, here’s hoping this second attempt at NaBloPoMo is a step towards freeing my blogging spirit.

Unfortunately, I don’t have as much free time as compared to last year. I was honestly still deliberating on whether I should try it this year after the clock stroke midnight and still couldn’t decide as I fell asleep. But this morning I woke up and thought, “Ah heck, let’s do it.”

The only restriction I’ll be putting on myself for this attempt on NaBloPoMo 2 is that all my posts must either be on a manga, anime, web comic, manhwa or manhua — i.e. Standard Opinion Posts or First Impressions. Other posts, such as Personal or Blog Award posts (If I actually find the time to do them) won’t be seen as part of the challenge.

I’m going to do my best, starting from tomorrow. Wish me luck.
